Using the site

The calculators are free to use. There is no account, no paywall, no email wall and no charge. You may use the answer for your own project and share a link to it.

Estimates, not specifications

The results are quantity estimates produced from the inputs you enter and the constants documented on the methodology page. They are not a specification, a quotation, or a substitute for your supplier's measurements or your local building requirements.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, no warranty is given that a result is fit for a particular purpose. Constants are re-checked on the schedule described on the methodology page, and known errors are corrected in public with a date.

Intellectual property

The text, design and code of this site belong to the YardWise team. The source constants are attributed on the methodology page and are not reproduced wholesale from any third party.

Changes

These terms may change as the site does. The last-updated date on the methodology page is computed from the data register, so a material change to a published figure moves that date automatically.
